This was the view out of my ger early morning one morning in Mongolia. It was October, and we'd been horse trekking, warming ourselves on yakdung campfires by night and developing buttock calluses by day. It had been over a week since I had taken my clothes off. The rivers were frozen. But this particular morning, some wild need for western sanitation took hold, and I stripped naked and jumped in the lake. And now a few more Mongolians have strange ideas about Canadians.
