I was fascinated with the way this came out. It was an accidental photograph, with high ISO and too low an exposure: it was very dark, and very noisy. I brought up the exposure and got an extremely noisy, ugly outcome (of course), but then I tried Lightroom's "antique light" preset (many terrible photographs become bearable in monotone) -- and the noise turned into this wonderful speckly effect on the ceiling. Look a the people down in the lower left -- it actually does reminds me of antique photographs (the "antique light" preset used on a good sharp photograph is still good and sharp and doesn't look 'antique' at all). Anyway, I'm so taken with the speckled ceiling that I want to try intentionally creating some more photographs this way. This was taken at Lisa and Carl's wedding on Saturday.
