A lovely evening at Blue River Campground, my favourite campground of the trip. There are more scenic campgrounds, but nothing beats a campground where as soon as we had set up the tent, we were offered pork and beans and hot tea by various other campers. It had been a tough morning of riding, with Jonathan dragging, and civilization far off the radar, but the afternoon brought us to Redneck's in Avola, BC, where the owner thought we needed more feedin', and donated a frozen sausage to our cause. He told us we could also use it as a distraction if we rode into a bear. I guess the theme of the day was "those cyclists look hungry." And it's true, we were. Redneck's earns "best restaurant of the trip"!
